COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT FRIDAY * LOCATIONS...Vulnerable coastal locales along the western portions of the Long Island Sound. * TIDAL DEPARTURE...Minor coastal flooding from tidal departures of around 1 1/2 ft above astronomical tides tonight. Localized minor coastal flooding from tidal departures around 1 ft above astronomical tides Friday. * COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline tonight. Expect around 1 to 1 1/2, to locally 2 feet of inundation above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding. * SHORELINE IMPACTS...Breaking waves will result in beach erosion with splashover onto shoreline roads and adjacent properties and minor damage possible to shoreline structures during the times of high tide. * TIMING...During the times of high tide tonight and Friday.

Woman Wanted for Stealing Basket of Merchandise from Terryville Rite Aid

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who stole products from a Terryville store in April.

Terryville, NY - May 29th, 2015 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who stole products from a Terryville store in April.

A woman entered Rite Aid, located at 593 Old Town Road, filled a basket with merchandise and fled the store without paying on April 27 at approximately 6:20 p.m.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
