Syosset, NY - May 29th, 2014 - Second Squad detectives report the details of an arrest for a robbery that occurred in Syosset on Wednesday, 05/28/14 at 6:25 P.M.

According to detectives, James Eisinger, 27, (address unknown), while inside 7Eleven located at 50 Berry Hill Rd., put a beer and some other items on the counter for purchase.  When asked by the clerk for identification, the defendant produced a Florida I.D.   The clerk began to question the defendant about his address, causing the defendant to become agitated, who then jumped over the counter and struck the victim on the side of the face.  The defendant grabbed the beer can and a package of candy and ran into a waiting vehicle.  A witness outside in the parking lot, who observed the incident, recorded the license plate and called 911.

Second Precinct police officers, while on patrol, observed the defendant a short time later, in the vicinity of the Syosset train station and placed him under arrest.  Eisinger is being charged with Robbery 3rd Degree, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation, and Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree (from a previous order of protection).  He will be arraigned of Thursday, 05/29/14 in First District Court, Hempstead.
