The annual I Love Chocolate Fest in Brentwood promises to be more chocolaty than ever this year, kicking off on June 8 from 10AM-5PM. Guests can enjoy live music as well as see the Human Disco Ball dance in her mirrored suit (your not going to want to miss this).

About 50 local chocolate vendors and an additional 50 vendors offering delicious food and crafts will set up shop in the event center at Suffolk County Community College. The event will feature offerings, which include chocolate in forms many people may not have tried or even dreamed of.

There will be two chocolate donut eating contests at 12PM and 3:30PM, local and artisanal foods to try and purchase, sweet treats, crafts and tons of shopping.

Freshly prepared chocolate treats are sure to be a highlight. Chocolate crepes will be made to order, as well as chocolate covered strawberries, bacon, pretzels, apples to even chocolate covered crickets! Baked goods like brownies and cookies to cupcakes and truffles will also be available.

Each exhibitor will have 1,000 samples to give away to guests to try. In addition, products in various sizes can be purchased to take home or enjoy as you stroll. In putting together the event, the organizers were determined to keep it local. All of the exhibitors, performers and staff are from Long Island.

Aside from edible treats, look for chocolate-scented soaps, candles and body butters as well as chocolate-themed jewelry. Several North Fork wineries will also be present offering samples and will advise guests on holiday gifting and recommend wine and chocolate pairings.
