Brentwood, NY - May 28, 2016 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the drowning death of a 2-year-old girl in Brentwood today.

Arlyn Vanegas-Luna, 2, was found unresponsive in an above-ground pool in the backyard of a relative’s home located at 101 Chestnut St., at approximately 4:35 p.m. Vanegas-Luna, who lives next door, was transported by Brentwood Legion Ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where she was pronounced dead.

The investigation is continuing.
