Two Men Nabbed with Stolen Car in Elmont, According to Authorities

Fifth Squad detectives report the Arrest of two males for Grand Larceny that occurred in Elmont. 
 
According to detectives, officers were responding for a stolen vehicle and observed the defendant Rohed Naeem, 24, and his passenger, Othello Mallay, 23, in the described stolen vehicle, a 2019 black Land Rover in front of 109 South Covert Avenue. The two males were placed under arrest and upon further investigation it was determined that the vehicle was stolen and the defendants were in possession of additional stolen property. 
 
A subsequent investigation by detectives also revealed that the defendants, on previous occasions, were responsible for multiple reported stolen vehicles and larcenies from autos.
 
Defendant Rohed Naeem is charged with Grand Larceny 2nd Degree, four (4) counts of Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, and two (2) counts of Petit Larceny. Defendant Othello Mallay is charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and Grand Larceny 4th Degree. They were both arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
