International Bubble Tea Chain Buys Hauppauge Industrial Building For $6.25MM

Gong Cha Tea, the international chain of bubble tea cafes, has purchased an industrial building in Hauppauge at 25 Power Drive for $6.25 million. Gong Cha Tea has  over 1,300 locations in 20 countries.

 

According to its website, Gong Cha Tea has locations at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove and Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City on Long Island.

 

A listing on propertyshark.com says the 30,300-sq-ft building sits on a 1.73 acre lot and was built in 1975. It’s advertised as an industrial/manufacturing site.

 

A story in Long Island Business News about the deal said the company previously leased space at 206 Terminal Drive in Plainview. The previous tenant at 25 Power Drive was Tuttnauer USA, a medical research equipment manufacturer.
