Authorities Issue Silver Alert for Missing Schizophrenic Man from Sayville
Sayville, NY - May 25, 2018 - The Suffolk County Police department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing Sayville man.
Frederick Smith, 64, of 223 Lakeland Ave., was last seen leaving his residence in a unknown vehicle on May 22. Smith is described as black, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs approximately 140 pounds and is bald. It is unknown what Smith was wearing at the time he went missing but he often wears glasses. Smith suffers from schizophrenia and wears a pacemaker due to heart complications.

As a reminder, Silver alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with the media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
