Horses Rescued From Ravine in Smithtown

When two horses became stuck in a river bog on Landing Meadow Road in Smithtown, Suffolk police came to the rescue along with the Smithtown and Commack Fire Departments.

 

Rescuers freed the two horses from the mud, according to a statement from the SCPD and posted on their Facebook page. The horses were assessed by a veterinarian at the scene and they are expected to make a full recovery.

 

There was no mention of how the horses became stuck or information about the owners.
