Rocky Point, NY - May 24, 2018 - On Monday, May 14, 2018, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker was honored at the North Shore Youth Council’s Big Buddy Little Buddy and Volunteer Celebration at Majestic Gardens in Rocky Point.
 
This celebration is held every year to honor and thank those who donate their time and skills to serve the North Shore Youth Council in a variety of ways. In attendence were members of the Big Buddy Little Buddy program, the Junior Counselor program, the Karate Club program, the NSYC Internship program and Youth Advisory Committee. The work of these groups and the NSYC as a whole ensure that children in the community have a safe and open space to learn, grow, gain experience, and make meaningful relationships.
 
“I would like to thank the North Shore Youth Council and all of its volunteers for providing such amazing services to the children in our community. It is an honor to be able to support and work with such an incredible organization,” said Legislator Anker.
