SCPD are seeking the public’s help to identify the woman who attempted to use counterfeit currency at a Westhampton store.

Westhampton, NY - May 22, 2017 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town Police detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who attempted to use counterfeit currency at a Westhampton store earlier this month.
 
A woman handed the cashier 11 counterfeit $10 bills at 7-Eleven, located at 410 Mill Road, on May 15 at approximately 6 a.m. After discovering the currency was counterfeit, the employee kept the bills. The subject left the store and fled in a silver BMW.
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
