Man Sought by Suffolk Police for Using Counterfeit Currency at Centereach Store

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who used counterfeit currency at a store in Centereach in May. 
 
A man bought $400 worth of merchandise from Walmart, located at 161 Centereach Mall, with several counterfeit $20 bills on May 1 at approximately 4 p.m.
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about these incidents can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, texting “SCPD” and your message to “CRIMES” (274637) or by email at www.tipsubmit.com.
