Amityville, NY - May 19, 2015 - Suffolk County Legislature Presiding Officer DuWayne Gregory attended the Suffolk County Veterans Appreciation Breakfast on May 11 at the Larkfield in East Northport.

The Veterans Appreciation Breakfast was sponsored by Suffolk County Legislator William Spencer and Suffolk County Veterans Services Director Tom Ronayne, and honored U.S. military veteran Legislator Thomas Barraga and Dorine Kenney of Jacob’s Light Foundation. Over 250 veterans from all areas of Suffolk County were in attendance to celebrate the occasion.

“On behalf of the residents of Suffolk County, it was my pleasure to help honor proud Americans like Legislator Barraga and Dorine Kenney,” said Presiding Officer Gregory. “Legislator Barraga’s bravery and unselfishness in serving our country and the admirable initiative Dorine Kenney has shown in going above and beyond to support our troops has without a doubt helped form them into the great leaders that they are today. Having the chance to meet and pay tribute to many of the veterans in attendance today was truly an honor and a privilege.”
