Boater Suffering from Chest Pains Rescued by NCPD Marine/Aviation Bureau

Freeport, NY - May 19th, 2014 - The Marine/Aviation Bureau reports the rescue of a male boater on Sunday May, 18 2014 at 8:40 p.m. in Freeport.

According to police, a 911 call was received for a male 51 years of age suffering chest pains while on a boat in Long Creek.  Nassau County Police Helicopter 6 was dispatched to the area and located the vessel.  They directed Nassau County Marine 6 to the location at which time they transported the victim to Guy Lombardo Marina where a Nassau County Ambulance removed him to a local hospital. The victim’s boat was towed to an area marina.
