NCPD Crime Alert: Man Wanted for Attempted Robbery in Freeport

Freeport, NY - May 19th, 2014 -  The Robbery Squad is investigating a Robbery (Attempt) that occurred on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 10:46 p.m. in Freeport.

According to detectives, a male white, 5’8” tall, thin build, wearing a black hooded jacket with gray stripes down the sleeves, black pants and a mask entered the Village Express Deli located at 198 N. Main Street. The subject displayed a black handgun in his waistband and demanded the 22 year old male victim give him the money from the register. A customer entered the store and the subject fled on foot west on Dean Street with no proceeds. There were no injuries reported.
