35 William Floyd Students Selected for SCMEA All-County Festivals

Mastic Beach / Moriches, NY - May 18, 2016 - Thirty five student musicians from William Paca Middle School, William Floyd Middle School and William Floyd High school were chosen to perform in the Suffolk County Music Educators Association (SCMEA) All-County Festivals earlier this spring, an honor reserved for students in grades six through 10 who have demonstrated excellence with their instruments or voices.

Student musicians selected for this honor are considered among the best musicians or vocalists in their grade level in all of Suffolk County. Their acceptance is based upon the results of an individual performance as assessed by a judge.

Congratulations to the following students and their teachers for this selection:

William Paca Middle School
Kurtis Chamberlain (snare drum); Kristyne Greene (soprano); Anthony Hanley (children’s voice); Julia Klement (children’s voice); Catherine Macceca (children’s voice); Nicholas Marx (children’s voice); Jayde Molfetto (children’s voice); Ariella Morano (viola); Michael Soares (double bass); Maille Bowerman (flute); Emilia Brandimarte (alto); Isabella Harkin (violin); Brianna Novotny (alto); and Ephrem Romao (alto). Teachers: Joseph Cordaro, Michelle Seifert and Donna Visone-O’Brien.

William Floyd Middle School
Ian Hua (flute); Charlie Cowan (soprano); Alyssa Drell (alto); Ciji Gawlowski (violin); Matthew Kolongowski (baritone); Luis Lituma (baritone); Makenna Reising (alto); Jarod Scott (baritone); and Briana Start (soprano). William Floyd High School
