Hempstead Woman Found Dead in Home; Suspect Arrested In Connection with Incident, Nassau Homicide Squad Says
Hempstead, NY - May 17, 2017 - The Homicide Squad reports the arrest of Kevin Pratt, 24, of Hempstead for a homicide that occurred in Hempstead on Tuesday, 05/16/17 at 9:01 P.M.
According to detectives, Hempstead police officers responded to a call for a disturbance at a residence on Harvard St. Upon arrival, police officers discovered a female victim, Taracker McClendon of Hempstead, 59, who was pronounced a short time later, at the scene.
The defendant Kevin Pratt is charged with Murder 2nd degree and will be arraigned on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at First District Court, Hempstead.
The investigation is ongoing.
