Holbrook, NY, May 2013 – Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker attended the Suffolk County Office for the Aging’s Senior Celebration on Wednesday, May 8 at Villa Lombardi’s in Holbrook. Entertainment, vendor exhibits, and a luncheon were enjoyed by over 550 seniors.

 “Our seniors are one of our community’s greatest assets,” said Legislator Anker. “As the Vice Chairwoman of Suffolk County's Senior Committee, I will continue to preserve the way of life they treasure and protect the legacy they offer to guide our children’s future.”

The Suffolk County Office for the Aging works to develop a widespread service system to assist residents 60 years of age and older in maintaining their independence, to remove barriers to economic and personal independence, and to provide a variety of care for the vulnerable elderly.
