NCPD: Westbury Bar Worker Arrested After Punching, Slashing Male Patron With Knife

NCPD reports the arrest of Robert A. Skinner of Uniondale, 45, for Assault in Westbury.

Rockville Centre, NY - May 15, 2017 - The Third Squad reports an arrest for Assault which occurred on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 10:15 pm in Westbury.
 
According to detectives, Robert A. Skinner, 45, of Uniondale, an employee at His and Hers bar located at 259 Post Avenue was in an altercation with a male patron, 53 years of age. They walked outside to the rear of the restaurant where Skinner punched the victim and slashed him in the neck with a knife causing a small laceration.  
 
The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment for his injuries. Skinner was placed under arrest at the scene without incident.
 
Skinner is charged with Assault 1st degree (Attempt), Assault 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree and Assault 3rd degree.  An investigation also revealed Skinner had an open Nassau County warrant from 2012 for Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd degree. He will be arraigned on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at First District Court in Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
