NCPD: Individuals in Gang Arrest for the Sale of Fentanyl-Laced Heroin and Dogfighting Identified

Nassau County, NY - May 14, 2015 - The Major Case Bureau, Narcotics Vice Squad, in conjunction with the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office Street Narcotics Gang Unit initiated an extensive investigation into the number of fentanyl-laced heroin overdoses in Nassau County.  During this investigation it was determined that a number of subjects may have engaged in dog fighting operations, including the fighting, breeding and training of Pit Bulls throughout Nassau County. 

At approximately 6:00am on Wednesday May 13, 2015 the Major Case Detectives, Bureau of Special Operations, The District Attorney’s Squad and Investigators, Emergency Services Unit, Town of Hempstead Animal Control and The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals executed four search warrants in the Roosevelt area and the Incorporated Village of Freeport.  These locations were Locust Court, Roosevelt and Lenox, Leonard, Hudson and Connecticut Avenues in Freeport

This on-going investigation has yielded fifteen arrests for charges related to the sale and distribution of fentanyl-laced heroin and the prescription drugs Xanax, Oxycodone and Codeine Promethazine and charges related to dog fighting.  The following names are the list of defendants and their charges:

Shaheem Allen, 23, from Freeport – 2 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, 5 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, 4 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Conspiracy 2nd Degree and Prohibition of Animal Fighting.

Kwame Reaux, 24 from Freeport – 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and 2 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree

Daquan Mclean, 23, from Roosevelt – Conspiracy 4th Degree, Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.

Ty Mitchell, 19, of Amityville – Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.

Travis Mouzon, 35, of Roosevelt – Conspiracy 4th and 5th Degrees.

Darren Devore, 26, of Freeport – Conspiracy 2nd Degree, Obstructing Government Administration and Resisting Arrest.

Arivita Fulton, 45, of Freeport – Conspiracy 4th Degree.

Neheim West, 17, of Freeport – 2 count of Conspiracy 4th Degree and Conspiracy 5th Degree.

Anthony Reddick, 54, of Freeport – Prohibition of Animal Fighting 2nd and 3rd Degree, Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree and Conspiracy 5th Degree.

Ava Marie Green, 22, of Freeport – Conspiracy 4th and 5th Degree and Prohibition of Animal Fighting 3rd Degree.

Kara Jeter, 28, from Queens – 2 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Obstructing Government Administration

Sheron Davis, 27, of Uniondale – Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.

Raheim West, 17, of Freeport – Conspiracy 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree.

Christopher Nelson, 24, of North Babylon – Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.

Terrance Collins, 23, of Amityville – Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.

The above defendants are being arraigned on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at First District Court, Hempstead.
