NCPD: Queens Man Busted for Breaking into Multiple Vehicles, Stealing Cash, ID Cards

The Second Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for multiple Grand Larcenies that occurred on various dates throughout Nassau County.
 
According to detectives, between November, 24, 2018 and April 28, 2019, the defendant Alex Hines, 47, of Queens entered into multiple vehicles and removed credit cards, cash, and various identification cards. An investigation was conducted with the assistance of Suffolk County Police who had the defendant in their custody on separate Grand Larceny Charges. Nassau County Second Squad detectives responded to Suffolk County where the defendant was placed into their custody without incident.
 
Defendant Alex Hines is charged with 16 counts of Petit Larceny, 29 counts Grand Larceny 4th Degree, Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, 6 counts Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Identity Theft 2nd Degree, 7 counts Identity Theft 3rd Degree, 3 counts Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, and Criminal Mischief 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Monday, May 13, 2019 in First District Court, Hempstead.  
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
