Nassau Authorities Seeking Suspect in Connection with Hempstead Assault

The Special Victims Squad reports the details of an Assault that occurred on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 4:30 a.m. in Hempstead.
 
According to detectives, a 28 year-old female victim was approached by a male subject in the vicinity of Jackson Ave. and Terrace Ave. After engaging her in conversation, the subject cut the victim’s throat with a box cutter and took her into an alley, where he sexually assaulted her. The subject fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The victim called 911 and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment. She is in stable condition.
 
The subject is described as a male black of unknown age. He is approximately 6’1” tall with a slim build. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. No further description is available.
