Long Island, NY - May 12, 2017 - Senator John E. Brooks stood in solidarity with the members of Teamsters Local 812 on the picket line outside of the Clare Rose beer distribution facility in Melville today.  Local 812 has been on strike for over a week after Clare Rose months of negotiations with the union broke down.

“Demanding its workers take a 30 percent pay cut is not negotiating in good faith, and neither is trying to replace the current workforce with non-union workers,” Senator Brooks said. “The men and women of Local 812 deserve a fair contract that reflects their hard work.”
