Far Rockaway Teenager Arrested After Robbing Man in Inwood, Authorities Report

Port Washington, NY - May 12, 2017 - The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Far Rockaway man at 6:25pm on Thursday, May 11, 2017 for a Robbery that occurred in Inwood.
 
According to Robbery Squad Detectives, on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 5:50am the 31 year old male victim was walking near the Inwood train station when he was approached by two male subjects. Defendant Brandon Secreto, 16, and another armed with a knife (not yet arrested) approached the victim and demanded his cash, wallet and cellular telephone.  
 
The victim complied and the subjects fled the scene on foot towards the Redfern Apartments.  No injuries were reported.
 
Defendant Secreto is charged with one count of Robbery 1st degree and one count of Robbery 2nd degree.  He will be arraigned on Friday, May 12, 2017 in First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
