Bicyclist Killed in Crash with ATV in Wyandanch

Wyandanch, NY - May 12, 2016 - Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a crash that killed a Wyandanch man yesterday afternoon.

Joel Foster was travelling eastbound on Davidson Street on his 2015 Yamaha All Terrain Vehicle yesterday at 4:15 p.m. when Inoe Dejesus Padilla steered his bicycle into the path of the ATV and was struck.

Both operators were transported by Wyandanch/Wheatley Heights Rescue to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where Padilla, 24, of Wyandanch, was pronounced dead. Foster, 26, of Wyandanch, was admitted for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The ATV was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this crash to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
