Queens Woman Nabbed for Garden City Gift Card Fraud

Garden City, NY - May 12th, 2015 - The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a St. Albans woman on Tuesday May 12, 2015 at 10:15am for Grand Larceny.
 
According to Crimes Against Property Squad Detectives, defendant Jeneba Kabba, 19, of 192nd Street entered the United States Post Office located at 630 Stewart Avenue in Garden City between December 1, 2014 and December 17, 2014 and through fraudulent means purchased multiple American Express Gift Cards in various amounts. 
 
The defendant purchased the gift cards with five separate credit cards that were re-encoded with fraudulent banking information. The banking institutions sustained a financial loss of approximately $5260.00.
 
Defendant Jeneba Kabba is charged with one count of Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, five counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and three counts of Identity Theft 2nd Degree. She was arraigned on Tuesday May 12, 2015 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
