Update: Fifth Youth Declared Dead in Farmingdale Crash

A fatal vehicular crash in Farmingdale left five dead and two injured.

Update - May 12, 2014 - The identities of the deceased have been released by the NCPD:

Tristan K. Reichle, 17, of Farmingdale.
Jesse J, Romero, 18, of South Farmingdale.
Carly Lonborg, 14, of South Farmingdale.
Noah Francis, 15, of Farmingdale.
 
Cody Talanian, 17, of Farmingdale was also pronounced dead at 10:00pm on May 11, 2014 by Dr. Aversano at Nassau University Medical Center.
 
Original Story - May 11, 2014 - A vehicular crash that occurred in Farmingdale early the morning of Saturday, May 10 left four dead and three injured.

According to police, a Nissan traveling west on Conklin Street crossed into the eastbound lanes and was hit by a GMC suburban driven by a 53-year-old man. Two male passengers were ejected from the car; one was declared dead on the scene and the other was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.

Two other passengers in the Nissan—one male, one female—were also killed upon impact, and the driver was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital. The GMC’s driver and passenger were also brought to the hospital in serious condition.

An investigation is ongoing at this time. Both vehicles were impounded for brake and safety checks.
