NCPD Reports Three Arrests in Connection with Multiple Assaults at Baldwin Bowling Alley

Baldwin, NY - May 9, 2018 - The First Squad reports the arrests of three men for an Assault that occurred at 1:30am on Monday, May 7, 2018 in Baldwin
 
According to Detectives, three defendants became involved in an altercation with approximately four individuals at the Baldwin Bowling Center located at 2407 Grand Avenue. The three defendants assaulted the victims by punching and kicking them repeatedly about the body causing substantial pain and bruising.  Defendant Pedro Mendez-Ramos pulled out an unknown object and slashed the male victim, 23, in the left side of the face and also slashed a second male victim, 20, in the right side of the neck causing deep lacerations to both victims. A third male victim, 22, received an abrasion and swelling to the left eye and a female victim, 18, received substantial pain to the right side of her head.
 
Defendant Brian Gonzalez-Valdez, 20, of Baldwin was arrested at 6:36am on May 7, 2018 and is charged with two counts of Gang Assault 1st Degree, two counts of Assault 3rd Degree and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. Arraigned on May 7, 2018. 
 
Defendant Christopher Abreu, 21, of Amityville was arrested at 6:20pm on May 8, 2018 and is charged with Assault 3rd Degree. Appearance ticket for May 14, 2018.
 
Defendant Pedro Mendez-Ramos, 24, of Baldwin was arrested at 12:20am on May 9, 2018 and is charged with two counts of Assault 1st Degree, Gang Assault 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Tampering with a Witness and two counts of Assault 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
