Hewlett Man Busted for Multiple Local Residence Burglaries, NCPD Reports

Hewlett, NY - May 8, 2018 - Major Case Bureau detectives from the Burglary Pattern Team and the Fourth Squad report the arrest of a Hewlett man for multiple burglaries that occurred in Hewlett.
 
According to detectives, John Moruzzi, 28, after the Fourth Squad and Burglary Pattern Team conducted an investigation, was found to be responsible for the following burglaries where jewelry and cash were removed:
 
  • April 8, 2018 - Chatham Rd.
  • April 9, 2018 - Chatham Rd.
  • April 20, 2018 - Chatham Rd. (Attempt)
  • April 26, 2018 - Trinity Pl.
On May 5, 2018 at 6:30 p.m., Moruzzi was located in Valley Stream and arrested without incident.
 
Moruzzi is charged with three (3) counts of Burglary 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
