Hempstead Man Arrested On Two Counts of Public Lewdness, Officials Say

Westbury, NY - May 8, 2017 - Third Squad detectives report the arrest of a Hempstead man for public lewdness which occurred on Thursday, 04/20/17 at 4:00 P.M. and on Sunday, 04/23/17 at 12:30 P.M.
 
According to detectives  on 04/20/17, Chad Sabessar, 27, while operating a black Honda Accord on Rockland St./Cambridge Ave. in Westbury, pulled up to a female victim, 18, and asked for directions. The victim walked over to the vehicle, saw that he exposed himself and walked away.  
 
On 04/23/17, the defendant while in his vehicle on Cross St./Linden Ave., asked a female victim, 45, for directions. As she went closer to the vehicle, she saw that he exposed himself and walked away. The victim was able to obtain the defendant’s license plate information and was later identified through a photo array.
 
On Friday, 05/05/17, a Freeport police officer observed the defendant in his vehicle on W. Seaman Ave./Connecticut Ave. in Freeport, where he was taken into custody.
 
Sabessar is being charged with two counts of Public Lewdness and will be arraigned on Saturday, 05/06/17, in First District Court, Hempstead.
