Sayville Celebrating Restaurant Month Throughout May

Written by Meg Parisi  |  08. May 2019

Participating Sayville/West Sayville restaurants will kick off the Town of Islip’s 335th birthday celebration for the month of May by offering select menu items at $16.83, reflecting the year 1683 when William Nicoll purchased the town from the Secatogue Nation, or $3.35, reflecting the 335 years since that purchase was made.

The 335th birthday celebration will continue with restaurants across the town participating through the month of October. In July, restaurants in Islip, East Islip and Great River will take part; in August, Ronkonkoma and Holbrook; in September, look for participating restaurants in Bay Shore, Brightwaters and West Islip; and in October, Oakdale and Bohemia will participate.

“There are restaurants throughout the Town of Islip that offer delicious foods from cultures around the world. The 335 Restaurant Month is a wonderful incentive to try a new restaurant, or return to a favorite,” said supervisor Angie Carpenter.

The town will spotlight various participating restaurants during the series on ITV/Channel 18 and Verizon Channel 1982. The Sayville/West Sayville restaurant event begins May 1. Below are a list of particpating restaurants.
