Officials: Uniondale Man Charged with Attempting to Break into Westbury Home While Mother, Children Present

Westbury, NY - May 7, 2018 - The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Uniondale man for Burglary that occurred in Westbury on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 2:15 pm.
 
According to detectives, a 34 year old female was inside her Broadmoor Lane residence along with her two children ages 3 and 1 when she observed the defendant Angel Perdomo, 48, trying to pry open her rear sliding door with his hands. The victim yelled for the defendant to get away and that she was calling the police. Angel Perdomo was observed fleeing the rear yard and jumping over a fence. Third Precinct police responded and a short time later were able to locate the defendant in a nearby Broadmoor Lane residence. The defendant was placed into police custody without incident. There were no proceeds. There were no injuries reported.
 
Defendant Angel Perdomo is charged with Burglary 2nd degree (Attempt) and Disorderly Conduct. He was arraigned on Friday, May 4, 2018 at First District Court in Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
