Man Arrested for Unlawful Surveillance with Cell Phone in Fitting Room

East Garden City, NY - May 6, 2016 - Third Squad detectives report the details of an arrest for unlawful surveillance that occurred in East Garden City on Thursday, 05/05/16 at 5:15 P.M.

According to detectives, Troy Gibbons-Blair, 31, of Jamaica, Queens, while in American Apparel located at 630 Old Country Rd., approached a female patron, 20, near the fitting room in the store and  tried to engage her in lewd conversation.  A short time later, a second female victim, 20, observed the defendant hanging his cell phone over the wall in the fitting room, photographing her as she undressed.  Police were notified and the defendant was arrested at the scene.

Gibbons-Blair is being charged with Unlawful Surveillance 2nd Degree and Public Lewdness.  He will be arraigned on Friday, 05/06/16 in First District Court, Hempstead.
