Officials: Drunk Driving Wantagh Woman Strikes, Injures Two Nassau Cops Conducting Traffic Stop
Westbury, NY - May 4, 2018 - The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Wantagh woman for Driving While Intoxicated that occurred on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 10:05 p.m. in Westbury.
According to detectives, officers were conducting a VTL stop on Old Country Rd. when they were struck from behind by a 2011 Volkswagen driven by Annamarie Siederman, 31. Further investigation revealed that the defendant was under the influence of alcohol. She was placed under arrest without incident. Two officers as well as the defendant were transported from the scene to a local hospital for evaluation.
The defendant is being charged with two (2) counts of Assault 3rd degree, Driving While Intoxicated as well as various VTL infractions. She will be arraigned on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
