The Long Island Business News (LIBN) has named the Brookhaven IDA the IDA of the Year for Suffolk County, as one of its Annual Real Estate, Architecture and Engineering Award honorees.
 
The Real Estate, Architecture & Engineering Awards is LIBN’s annual program saluting top projects, deals, and movers and shakers in the real estate, architecture and engineering communities.  
 
A virtual celebratory event will take place on June 3.
 
The Brookhaven IDA, under the leadership of Frederick C. Braun III, Chairman, and Board Members Frank Trotta, Asst. Treasurer; Gary Pollakusky, Asst. Secretary; Felix J. Grucci, Jr., Vice Chair; Ann-Marie Scheidt, Secretary; and Martin Callahan, Treasurer.

Since 1970, the mission of the Town of Brookhaven Industrial Development Agency has issued millions of dollars in tax-exempt or taxable bonds and provided assistance through straight lease deals to encourage companies to either locate or expand in the Town of Brookhaven. This assistance has been extended to companies both large and small and has resulted in the direct creation of thousands of jobs for Brookhaven residents.
