Knife-Wielding Levittown Man Arrested After Chasing News Crew Off His Property, Cops Say

Levittown, NY - May 2, 2017 - The Second Squad reports the details of an arrest for Menacing on Monday, May 01, 2017 at 6:30 pm in Levittown.
 
According to police, Jeremy Henggeler, 40, was approached by a news crew while in his garage. As the female victim approached asking to speak to the suspect he displayed a knife and approached her in a threatening manner. The victim and a witness left the property and notified police who responded to the scene and placed the suspect under arrest without incident. No injuries were reported.
 
Henggeler is charged with Menacing 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at First District Court in Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
