SCPD: Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in North Bay Shore Hit-and-Run Crash

Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist in North Bay Shore.
 
James Antonelli was operating a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Pine Aire Drive, east of Manatuck Boulevard, when the motorcycle was struck by a motor vehicle that drove out of a 7-Eleven parking lot. Antonelli was thrown into the westbound lane where he was struck by a 2004 Mercury sedan. The Mercury was driven by a 54-year-old Bay Shore woman who stopped and remained at the scene. The first motor vehicle, described as a black four-door sedan, fled westbound on Pine Aire Boulevard.  
 
Antonelli, 63, of Bay Shore, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious injuries. The vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
