Security Guard, 71 Year-Old Woman Assualted by Patrons of Bellmore Comedy Club, Officials Report

Bellmore, NY - May 1, 2018 - Seventh Squad detectives are investigating an attempted Robbery that occurred on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 10:12 P.M. in Bellmore.
 
According to detectives, a 55 year old male security guard and a 71 year old female victim were both working at the Brokerage Comedy Club located at 2797 Merrick Road. There was a disagreement with a group of 7 patrons. The male victim attempted to intervene as the group of 7 attempted to leave without paying for services that were provided. One of the subjects-described as a male black in his thirties, thin moustache and beard wearing a dark shirt, dark baseball cap pushed the male victim to the floor. Subject then punched and kicked victim. Another male subject then attempted to remove a holstered gun from victim’s waistband while several subjects continued punching and kicking the victim. 
 
The female victim was knocked to the floor by one of the subjects as all 7 fled out the door. She was transported to an area hospital with head and neck injuries. The male victim suffered a head contusion and was treated at the scene.  
 
The subjects are described as 2 male blacks, 3 female blacks and 2 male Hispanics that fled north on Bellmore Avenue in a dark colored SUV. There were no proceeds taken. The investigation is ongoing.
