Man and Woman Who Allegedly Dealt Crack, Heroin Jailed After Victim Overdose, According to NCPD

Woodmere, NY - May 1, 2017 - The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of two (2) individuals for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance that occurred on Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Woodmere.
 
According to Narcotics Vice Squad Detectives along with Fourth Squad Detectives an investigation was made into a non-fatal overdose that occurred in Woodmere on Sunday, April 30, 2017. This investigation lead to the arrest of Jennifer Pfeiffer, 41, of Woodmere. Defendant Pfeiffer sold an amount of crack cocaine to the victim leading to the victims’ overdose.  
 
Defendant Pfeiffer was placed under arrest on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 8:45 pm in Valley Stream. A white rocklike substance believed to be crack cocaine was found on the defendant’s person.  During a consent search of the defendant’s home, detectives recovered 7.5 grams of a white rocklike substance believed to be crack cocaine and five (5) glassine envelopes containing a tannish powdery substance believed to be heroin. 
 
Additional investigations lead to the arrest of Edwin Dejesus, 65, Far Rockaway. Defendant Dejesus agreed to sell an amount of heroin for US currency to another. Defendant Dejesus was placed under arrest on Sunday, April 30, 2107 at 10:15 pm in Inwood.  Subsequent to the arrest, detectives recovered a total of 73 glassine envelopes believed to be heroin from the defendant’s person.
 
Defendant Pfeiffer is being charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, 4th Degree and 7th Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree. Defendant Dejesus is being charged with two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree. 
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
