Mastic Beach, NY - April 30, 2015 - Suffolk County Police Homicide detectives are investigating an incident in which two people were found dead inside their Mastic Beach home.

Seventh Precinct Patrol officers responded to a 911 call at 203 Woodside Drive, after a child from the residence was locked out of the home and asked an adult for help. The adult saw a man, Wayne Street, 29, of 203 Woodside Drive, lying on the ground and called 911 at approximately 4:40 p.m. Officers found Street dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, and his wife Jenni Lee Street, 28, of the same address also dead from a gunshot wound.

Their six children were transported to a local hospital where Child Protective Services interviewed them. They were not injured.

The investigation is continuing.
