Gifted Long Island Teens, A Comic And College Professor Create A Diverse Line-up In May’s (mostly) True Things Storytelling Show

There will be stories by two outstanding creative writing students from Sayville High School.

Port Jefferson, NY - April 29, 2016 - (mostly) TRUE THINGS, a monthly storytelling show that features true stories - with a twist - told live, without notes by people from all walks of life, ages and backgrounds will bring a diverse and entertaining line-up to the stage in the Saturday May 21 2016, 7 pm performance at The Performing Arts Studio, 224 E. Main St., Port Jefferson, NY. 
There will be stories by two outstanding creative writing students from Sayville High School  - Allison Pelletier and Michaela Medeck - Long Island comic Gregory Cave and Tina Bakehouse, a professor from Creighton University who is also an improviser/performer. This show has music and comedy combined with compelling, captivating stories of true experiences as well as a game that involves the audience. All the stories except one include carefully-crafted deceptions or “little white lies.” 
The audience has an opportunity to question the storytellers, then vote for the person who told the unvarnished truth. Audience members who choose the correct person get a prize. Host/creator Jude Treder-Wolff is a writer/performer, singer and creative arts psychotherapist who has been featured on the RISK! podcast and live show, Talk Therapy and Prose Of Pie storytelling shows, and told stories at The Moth. Her solo storytelling show Crazytown: my first psychopath was selected for the 2013 Midtown International Theater Festival and the 2012 Chicago and San Francisco Fringe Festivals. Crazytown was also performed at The Pit-The Peoples Improv, Actors Theatre Workshop and Broadway Comedy Club in NYC, the Charles B. Wang Center at Stonybrook University, in Stonybrook, NY and The Conservatory New Jersey. 
“Self-medicate with real-life therapist Jude Treder-Wolff” wrote The New York Daily News in a review of 2004-2005 weekly variety show The Jude Treder-Wolff Group Psychotherapy Show at Rose’s Turn in NYC. “Expect the unexpected! And without the hourly rates!” 
In collaboration with composer Wells Hanley, she co-wrote all the songs performed to set up each stage of the game in (mostly) TRUE THINGS.
