North Amityville, NY - April 28, 2015 - Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating an incident during which a man was shot in North Amityville this afternoon.
Wilson McWilliams was in his home, located at 220 Albany Ave., when he and another man got into an altercation at approximately 3:50 p.m. The man shot McWilliams numerous times and fled.
McWilliams was transported via police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a black adult male. Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
