Juvenile Busted by Cops in Roosevelt in Possession of Drugs, Loaded Firearm

First Squad detectives report the arrest of a juvenile from Roosevelt that occurred in Roosevelt.
 
According to detectives, plainclothes officers from the First Precinct, while on patrol on Lakeside Drive, observed a group of youths, one of whom who was smoking a marijuana cigarette. After stopping to conduct an investigation the 15 year old threw the marijuana to the ground. Officers identified themselves and discovered that the 15 year old juvenile was in possession of a loaded .40 caliber handgun. He was then placed under arrest without further incident.
 
The juvenile was transported to the First Precinct, was custodialized and is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Criminal Possession of Marijuana 5th Degree. He was arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
