Brooklyn Man Under Arrest for Attempting To Take Multiple DMV Tests for Other Individuals

Bethpage, NY - April 25, 2017 - The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Brooklyn man for falsifying business records that occurred in Bethpage on Friday, 04/14/17 at 2:30 P.M.
 
According to Crimes Against Property Squad detectives, Mario Gedeon, 64, entered the New York State Department of Motor Vehicle located at 4031 Hempstead Tpke., with two others (not yet apprehended) and agreed to take their written driver’s license examinations for them, for an undisclosed amount of money. The defendant and the two other subjects were observed by security switching papers. The defendant and two subjects left the scene. A DMV worker then recognized the defendant who had been to the Bethpage office multiple times over the last year.  
 
The defendant is already in possession of a NYS Driver License. 
 
On Monday, 04/24/17, the defendant entered the Bethpage DMV office, in order to take a motorcycle test, when he was recognized by a DMV investigator who then notified police. Crimes Against Property Squad detectives located the defendant running across Hempstead Tpke.
 
Gedeon is being charged with three counts of Falsify Business Records 1st Degree, three counts of Offer False Instruments and will be arraigned on Tuesday, 04/25/17 in First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
