Officals: Lindenhurst Man Charged for Multiple Suffolk Residential Burglaries

Keith Makowsky, 29, allegedly committed nine burglaries in the past 12 months, cops say.

Suffolk County Police arrested a man who committed nine residential burglaries between April 2018 and April 2019 in the First and Third Precincts.
 
Following an extensive investigation by First Squad detectives, Keith Makowsky was located and arrested on West Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst on April 23 at approximately 1 p.m. Makowsky committed  nine burglaries in the past 12 months at the following locations:
 
  • 798 South Wellwood Ave., Lindenhurst. April 22, 2018
  • 772 South Place, Lindenhurst. Between July 1 and August 11, 2018
  • 133 Lane St., Lindenhurst. August 4, 2018
  • 815 Surf St., Lindenhurst. November 11, 2018
  • 33 Sea Bay Way, Kismet. Between March 25 and March 29, 2019
  • 912 Pacific St., Lindenhurst. April 7, 2019
  • 465 Putnam Ave., Lindenhurst. Between April 7 and April 22, 2019
  • 314 Richmond Ave., Amityville. Between April 13 and April 14, 2019
  • 115 Brown Place, Lindenhurst. April 15 2019
Makowsky, 29, of Lindenhurst, was charged with five counts of Burglary 2nd Degree, four counts of Burglary 3rd Degree and one count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree. He will be held overnight at the First Precinct and was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip.  
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
