State Troopers Arrest Couple On Felony Drug Charges After Commack Traffic Stop

Commack, NY - April 24, 2018 - On April 21, 2018, at approximately 11:30 pm, troopers stopped a 2004 GMC Envoy for making an improper U-turn on Motor Parkway in Commack in the Town of Islip, Suffolk County, NY. Upon further investigation, the operator, Robert W. Riepe, age 22, of Hauppauge, and passenger, Samantha P. McNeill, age 18, of Smithtown, were found to be in possession of LSD, Liquid THC, Marihuana, drug paraphernalia, and numerous oxycodone and valium pills without a prescription.
 
They were both charged with one count Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree (A-II Felony), one count Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree with the intent to sell (B Felony), one count Criminal Possession of Marihuana 4th Degree (A Misdemeanor), one count Criminal Use Drug Paraphernalia (A Misdemeanor), four counts of Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 7th Degree (A Misdemeanor). Mr. Riepe was additionally charged with numerous vehicle and traffic law violations.
 
Both subjects were arraigned at Suffolk County First District Court on 04/22/18.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
