Nesconset, NY - April 20, 2016 - The weather is warming up and the sunshine is lasting longer and longer with each passing day, but most importantly we are well into baseball season! It is that time of year when Legislator Leslie Kennedy (R-Nesconset) will host the annual MLB Pitch, Hit, and Run competition in conjunction with the Nesconset Athletic Association. The competition date will be May 14th at Browns Road Park in Nesconset. Registration will start at 9:00 A.M.and all participants will begin competition at 10:00 A.M.

The Pitch, Hit, and Run competition is a baseball skills competition run by Major League Baseball and sponsored by Scotts for boys and girls ages 7 to 14. Participants will have an opportunity based off of their performance to advance to the Sectional Level competition, then to the Team Championship competition hosted at one of the 30 Major League Baseball parks, and finally to the National Finals hosted at Petco Park in San Diego, CA during All-Star Week.

This is Leslie Kenney’s second annual Pitch, Hit, and Run but she follows in a long tradition of Pitch, Hit, and Run competitions hosted in Nesconset. Once again the Nesconset Athletic Association will help to facilitate the competition, and special thanks go out to them. The Athletic Association will be sure to uphold the integrity of the competition and we look forward to a great turnout from young athletes all throughout the community.

For more information or if you would like for us to mail you a registration sheet feel free to contact Legislator Kennedy’s office directly at (631)-854-3735, and ask for Zach Viola the 12th Legislative District Pitch, Hit, and Run Coordinator.
