New Hyde Park Woman Arrested for Using Illegally Obtained Handicap Parking Permit

Update: Possession of Forged Instrument occurred in Uniondale. Vehicle was observed in the parking lot of the Roosevelt Field Mall.

Uniondale, NY - April 23rd, 2014 - Crimes Against Property Squad detectives report the arrest of a New Hyde Park woman for possession of a forged instrument that occurred in Uniondale from 1/01/10 through 04/10/14.

According to detectives, an employee for the Nassau County Office for the Physically Challenged observed an expired handicap permit affixed to a vehicle on Brush Hollow Rd. The complainant looked into the issuance of the permit number and after reviewing the application, learned that the permit was issued to Jennifer Lisojo, 22, of 646 7th Ave.   Further investigation revealed that defendant Lisojo submitted nine handicap applications to the Nassau County Office for the Physically Challenged State Handicapped Parking Permit Application section.  The applications, which required a physicians’ signature, were forged.  The fraudulent applications resulted in the issuance of nine handicapped plaques.

Crimes Against Property Squad detectives arrested Lisojo on Tuesday, April 22, 2014.  She is being charged with nine counts of Possession Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and will be arraigned on Wednesday, 04/23/14 in First District Court, Hempstead.
