Police Seeking Man Who Burglarized Occupied Commack Home

A man entered a Balsam Lane home but fled the home with no proceeds when he heard an occupant make noise.

Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred at an occupied Commack home.
 
A man entered a Balsam Lane home through a window at approximately 9 p.m. but fled the home with no proceeds when he heard an occupant make noise. The man, whose image was caught on a home surveillance camera, had long sideburns and was wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and a baseball hat.  
 
A fast-cash reward for $2,500 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in this case. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the burglar to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
