Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole merchandise from a West Babylon store in March.

A man armed with a needle entered BP Gas, located at 331 Farmingdale Road, and demanded cash from the clerk on March 13 at 2:20 p.m. The clerk told him there was no money, took the station’s cordless phone and walked out to the parking lot. The robber followed the clerk out to the front of the station, grabbed the phone from him and threw it onto the grass next to the building. The robber went back inside the station and stole multiple packs of Newport cigarettes and multiple 100 Win $2 New York State Lottery scratch off tickets (numbers 243-250), then fled on foot towards Eckert Avenue.
