Meet This Week's Adorable Adoptable: Olympia!

Written by Allison Matos  |  22. April 2016

LI's Adorable Adoptables is a weekly column by Allison Matos, a lifelong Long Island resident who has been advocating animal adoption since 2012. Allison's weekly posts highlight local animals in need of adoption, and cover general animal welfare topics as well.

Olympia, this gorgeous 4 year old blue nose, came to the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter as a stray. She was found with an electric cord wrapped around her neck (we can only speculate how that happened, but we think it’s safe to say she was no where good before arriving at the shelter).

Despite her sad past, Olympia is very sweet and extremely social with people, and even friendly with strangers! Olympia knows the command ‘sit’ and we bet she’d be easy to teach more commands once she’s in a loving home. Because of Olympia’s sweet and gentle nature, she is recommended for a home with teens and up and preferably as an only pet.

Olympia is a true angel who is ready for a miracle, so please consider  adopting this pretty girl today! Please call for more information: 516-785-5220 or come visit Olympia at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter located at 3320 Beltagh Avenue, Wantagh NY 11793.

Thank you for reading and please remember to always adopt- never shop...pass it on!
